Welcome to the Turowski Lab

We are a Laboratory of Transcription Mechanism at the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics. We are interested in understanding how the biophysics of transcription affects gene regulation. Our goal is to apply this knowledge to problems such as SARS-CoV-2 transcription and RNA polymerase III‑related leukodystrophy, and to improve the design of synthetic genomes (see Research).

We are located at the Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics Polish Academy of Sciences, part of the Campus Ochota in Warsaw.

We are grateful for funding from IBB PAS, NAWA and NCN.
